No matter how long the runway, getting airborne with the C of G beyond limits is still a very bad idea! Sometimes the shorter runway is safer, it makes it more clear that the attempt to fly is not working as it should, and a rethink is necessary!
Answer Question Our sincere thanks to all who contribute constructively to this forum in answering flight training questions. The R and S models have approved serial-number specific AFMs, and the only legal copies are purchased from Cessna for many dollars. I’ve checked my other Info Manuals for the R and they’re correct, at least back toand have found no similar 172x in my collection of manuals.

Pencilled notes and word of mouth is of course not the right way to make the information known. I am amazed this error has not been pointed 17s before. Yes I’m aware of the CAA performance multipliers. FAA Practical Test prep that reflects actual checkrides.
